Toy Box was founded by Carol Blackman Shultis in 1983, and has been through many renovations and expansions over the years.
Today, Toy Box Farm is one of the leading equestrian facilities in New Jersey. Spacious pastures, insulated barns, a variety of riding areas, and access to the Amwell Valley Trail Association bridle trails, have made it a place where both casual pleasure riders and competitors can both feel at home.
Carol is Toy Box Farm’s founder and owner. After moving from Bermuda to America in 1981, Carol switched her focus from show jumping to Three-Day Eventing, eventually competing in several international events including representing Bermuda in the 1987 Pan American Games, the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 1991 Pan American Championships (winning a team Silver). Carol focused on solid foundations of effective riding and the training of both horse and rider.
